2Kings 22
In 2Kings 22.1-20; 2Chronicles 34.1-2, 8-28, Josiah started his reign at eight years old. he turned out to be a good king. The Book of the Law was found by Hilkiah the high priest, Josiah heard about it, tore his robes, and asked Hiljiah to inquire of God for him and Judah about what was written in the book of the Law. Josiah was responsive to god and God honored that and delayed the disaster that would happen to Judah until 586 B.C.

In 2 Kings 23.1-3; 2Chronicles 34.29-32
Josiah renewed the Davidic Covenant with God.
In 2 Kings 23.4-20; 2Chronicles 34.3-7,33
Josiah removed every detestable idols, desecrated the high places, pulled down the altars. Out of all the kings of Judah, he did a complete reform and tried to bring the people back to the Lord.
In 2 Kings 23.21-23; 2 Chronicles 35.1, 18-19 Josiah ordered the celebration of the Passover as it was written in the book of the Covenant which was neglected.
In 2Kings 23.28-30; 2Chronicles 35.20-36.1 Josiah and his army went to fight Pharaoh Neco of Egypt. Neco killed him at Meggido.
After Josiah's death, everything went downhill spiritually in Judah. Jehoahaz became king, 2Kings 23.31-34; 2Chronicles 36.2-4, he did evil in the eyes of the Lord just as his father did. Pharaoh Neco put him in chains at Riblah and imposed a levy of gold and silver on Judah.
Jehoiakim became the next king of Judah, 2 Kings 23.36-24.6; 2Chronicles 36.5-8. He too did evil in the eyes of the Lord. It was then that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon invaded Judah amd Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. Jehoiakim then rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar. The Lord send several nations including Babylon against Jehoiakim. This was because of the sins of Manasseh.
