Today's Reading: Psalms 89-90; 1 Peter 4

READING LIST FOR BLENDED READINGS

1 Peter 4
This is discussion from Peter about living for God (v. 1-11) and suffering for being a Christian (v. 8-22)

Verses to meditate on:
7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

12Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

Application
What are you living for? If you are notliving for the Lord, your life is a waste (from an eternal perspective)! We should suffer for doing good instead of suffering for doing evil. This would be a good testimony to our Lord.
