Today's Reading: Psalms 91-93; 1 Peter 5

READING LIST FOR BLENDED READINGS

1 Peter 5
Peter then addresses the elders and the young men (v.1-11). Final greetings is found in verses 12-13.

Verses to meditate on:
8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Application
The elders were expected to take care of the flock and the young men were expected to submit to the elders. We need to be humble and not proud. We need to be alert, the devil is prowling looking for the moment when we are the weakest. This is why we need to stand firm in the faith,. It is a spiritual warfare!!
